The Xplorer Prize insists on casting a beam of light on basic scientific research

The 2024 awards ceremony of the Xplorer Prize was held recently. More than 40 winners received applause and praise. Launched in 2018, it's a high-funding project for young scientists and in six years, many scientists have participated. The award aims to support basic research and make scientists stars. Winners will get 3 million yuan in five years.

The young scientists with the richest innovative vitality aim at the most important scientific problems, rise to the challenge and bravely venture into the “no man's land” of science. And their children are also inspired by them and have colorful fantasies about this world. Academician Wang Zhizhen of the Chinese Academy of Sciences encouraged the award winners at the award ceremony to help inspire the curiosity and scientific dreams of teenagers, help them love nature and shape a scientific vision.
